USCIS Policy Manual Updated to Reflect New Fee Rule Implementation

USCIS Policy Manual Updated to Reflect New Fee Rule Implementation

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced revisions to its Policy Manual to align with the Fee Schedule and Changes to Certain Other Immigration Benefit Request Requirements Final Rule, which was published in the Federal Register on January 31, 2024, and will become effective on April 1, 2024.

These revisions apply to all applications and petitions postmarked on or after April 1. The USCIS will use the postmark date to determine the correct form version and fees, while the receipt date will be used for regulatory or statutory filing deadlines.

The updated policy manual includes changes related to new form fees, fee waivers, and fee exemptions. It also outlines limits on the number of beneficiaries for certain employment-based forms and introduces a new form supplement for orphan intercountry adoption cases.

For more detailed information about the fee rule and fee schedule changes, individuals are encouraged to visit the Frequently Asked Questions page, which USCIS has recently updated.
