USCIS Update: USCIS Ends Automatic EAD Extensions

Starting October 30, 2025, USCIS will stop granting automatic extensions for most Employment Authorization Documents (EADs). This means employees can no longer keep working while their EAD renewal is pending, unless they qualify under specific categories.
Both employers and workers should now make sure to track expiration dates and file renewals early to avoid any work interruptions.
