The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has disclosed plans to launch online organizational accounts and enable the online filing of Form I-129 for H-1B petitions in February 2024, catering to the FY2025 period. This initiative will empower H-1B petitioners to submit Form I-129 and associated Form I-907 premium processing requests online through their organizational accounts.
Once launched, petitioners will have the flexibility to either file online independently, have their legal representative submit the filing through the organizational account, or opt for the traditional paper-based filing method for Form I-129. Notably, the H-1B registration process will exclusively be available online.
USCIS emphasizes its commitment to facilitating a smoother process for H-1B petitioners and their representatives. In preparation for the upcoming H-1B registration period, USCIS will conduct two national engagements on organizational accounts on January 23 and January 24, 2024, along with additional smaller sessions to provide detailed guidance on the forthcoming changes. This move is expected to enhance efficiency, improve user experience, and streamline the H-1B petition filing process.
