USCIS Alters Form I-907 Filing Location for Pending Form I-140

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is set to change the filing location for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing when submitted for a pending Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers, starting from December 15. This shift is a strategic move to enhance efficiency by minimizing the footprint at the service centers and cutting down costs associated with Forms I-140 and I-907 intake. Furthermore, the change facilitates USCIS in centralizing the digitization of these forms for streamlined electronic adjudication, marking the second phase of a three-part transition.

It’s essential to note that this alteration doesn’t apply if filing Form I-140 concurrently with an associated application (such as Form I-485, I-765, or Form I-131). USCIS will soon unveil a filing location change for these forms. However, for now, they should be filed with the service centers as indicated on the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker page.

To avoid processing delays, filers are urged to adhere to the guidance on document submission to USCIS. USCIS had previously announced a change effective November 13, 2023, for the filing location of Form I-907 filed together with Form I-140, from the service centers to the USCIS lockbox (phase 1). Notably, any Form I-907 filed with Form I-140 received at the previous service center address will be rejected starting on or after December 13, 2023.

Commencing December 15, when mailing Form I-907 to USCIS for a currently pending Form I-140, please use the following addresses. Importantly, from January 14, 2024, USCIS will reject any Form I-907 filed for a pending Form I-140 received at the previous service center address.
